Trees Are More Than Just Trees
We help people understand the role trees play in shaping places, influencing communities and contributing to the character of the landscape. At Aspect Arboriculture, our work centres on two core areas of expertise.
Planning & Development First and foremost, we help clients secure planning permission for new developments. Our role is to ensure that trees are properly understood within the design process, allowing the most valuable landscape features to be retained, enhanced and integrated into future places. We believe trees should not be viewed simply as constraints, but as assets that help define identity, character and a connection to the site's history.
Tree Risk Management We also advise landowners, estates, local authorities and organisations responsible for managing trees in areas accessible to the public. Our approach balances risk management with the many environmental, ecological and social benefits that trees provide. We focus on proportionate, evidence-led recommendations that prioritise retention wherever possible. Tree removal is considered a last resort, not a starting point. Alongside technical advice, we help organisations develop policies and management strategies that are practical, defensible and aligned with best practice.
A Development-Focused Practice We are a development-focused consultancy with a deep understanding of trees, landscapes and planning. By interpreting trees and treescapes within their wider context, we help ensure that the most important landscape features continue to thrive while supporting successful development outcomes.
