If we give advice, we stand by it.
Trees are emotive and always have been, and hopefully will continue to be so. We don't judge, it is important for us that trees are emotive, and we are not afraid to help explain arboricultural decision making, where we have been integral to that process. Whether it is a tree that's been in the broadsheets and is subject to many thousands of concerned objections on development sites, with celebrity endorsements, or perhaps something much more local.
We've been there, we've done it, and we were successful at it.
We believe that everything we do should be done to the standard that is appeal ready. And that means being confident in our professional opinion and thinking through the pitfalls behind it. For that reason we don't do work we wouldn't defend at appeal. And we've worked with some of the countries leading KC's and chambers; we have never lost an appeal.

We provide clear engaging insights into how trees contribute to urban planning, sustainability, and environmental well-being.
Public Inquiry
We have given expert evidence at numerous planning enquiries and appeals.
We enjoy what we do, and we enjoy the process of preparing for appeal, and defending our expert opinion, and that is the thrust of what we do. We don't shy away from defending what we do. and we're only as good as our last job.
As a part of the appeal portfolio, we are happy to provide written representations, or to appear in person for cross examination.

Written Representations
Our Written Representation service provides a comprehensive and clear assessment of the impact of development proposals on existing trees. Whether you are submitting plans for planning permission or responding to concerns raised during a consultation, we craft detailed reports that outline how trees will be affected by construction, development, or land changes. These representations include expert recommendations on tree protection measures, mitigation strategies, and compliance with local planning policies. With our support, you can ensure that your development project respects and preserves vital tree resources while meeting all legal and environmental requirements.
Hearings & Public Consultation
Nothing satisfies the ego more, than having the opportunity to discuss with an engaged audience what we believe.
Our experience has proven that even the most behemoth objectors to a developer's proposal who are citing trees as a reason to resist it, will come round if they can see that you are doing the very best that can be done under the circumstances. We pride ourselves as coming across as reasonable, forward-thinking people, and that translates to our management of trees and the way they are considered; we've got 100% success in bringing those people around.
Our experience at London Chest hospital was key to that, we can cite it. we were up against Dame Judi Dench, East London Garden Preservation Society, Jeffrey Jude, Morris Londinium, the list goes on. They were all applauding what we did in the end and all the work we did for the mulberry tree on site at the London Chest Hospital development.
