The IML-RESI PowerDrill measures the drilling resistance to detect decay and cavities in trees and timber. It is a simple, fast and accurate way to detect wood decay, stages of rot, hollow areas and cracks within the tree. Resistance and torque are measured and recorded on a digital graph for reporting.
We frequently use the RESI-PowerDrill to:
- assist developers in making make best use of a site
- quantify risk of tree/branch failure associated with defects and decay
- inform the management of protected, aged and veteran trees
