About Us

Our approach is to recognise the planning pressures of housing and development whilst ensuring high quality and supportable schemes are created.

Originally founded in 2004, Aspect has since become well established as the leading environmental consultancy. The Arboricultural Team is headed up by Company Directors Ben Wright and Dr Richard Curtis and supported by a highly qualified team of Arboriculturists and Surveyors. Ben has considerable experience in the field of landscape planning and overseeing the management of both large and small scale projects where multiple disciplines are involved and Richard has many years experience in the delivery of first class arboricultural services. He has given evidence at numerous hearings and inquiries as an expert witness and has a particular interest in strategic arboricultural planning and in using the latest technology, combined with years of observation and experience to think outside the box and deviate from  ‘normal’ arboricultural constraints. One of his particular areas of interest is in the technical ability relating to tree root mapping, tree moving and future pressure to prune cases.

Richard holds a doctorate in amenity forestry gained in collaboration with the Forestry Commission (England) , is a professional member of the Arboricultural Assocation and holds a first class BSc Degree and Post Graduate Diploma (by research) in post productive forestry.
